Third Quarter Newsletter
Happy New Year!
I hope you and your family had an amazing holiday season and are ready for the second semester of school. Before the second semester officially begins, it is a great time to sit down with your student and ask about small and long-term goals to look forward to in the latter part of the school year. Write them down, pin them on a message board or fridge, and as they are reached, check them off one-by-one to feel a sense of accomplishment and achievement. As a student myself, I have set goals to be more aware of upcoming deadlines, to participate more in class, and to stay ahead of readings in my syllabus. Small goals and small steps will lead to great achievements in the long run.
As many students will be preparing to take standardized tests, it is important to make a studying schedule and stick to it! Whether you decide to go with self-guided review and practice or inquire about tutoring services, staying committed to a schedule is the only way to ensure improvement on scores. The biggest struggle I hear from students is staying focused and present in the test. Make sure to include timed practice tests in your schedule, as it is the number one way to combat test fatigue.
We are here for you! If there are services you want or need, please contact me and I will bring the services and savings to you.

ONLINE TUTORING & HELP
Earlier this year, online tutoring and help sessions became a part of every tutoring contract. Depending on the choice of tutoring package, online tutoring is included as one lesson per week, or available as an additional service for a small fee. The benefits of online tutoring are immense, especially for the student who is panicked at 8:00pm and will not have another tutoring lesson for a few days. Online support can come in a variety of ways, including Skype, the Remind app, or Google Hangout. So instead of turning in an incomplete assignment or waiting until your next lesson, take advantage of our additional services that are here to help you. It is never to late to add online tutoring to your package. Online lessons are no longer than 30 minutes and can either be purchased in bulk or on an as needed basis. For more information, hit reply or give us a call.
Do you know a family interested in tutoring? Maybe a student who needs help with organization? If so, help your friends and family, while enjoying special discounts for yourself. You can now receive 10% off for every referral made, up to 50% off a single tutoring package. *Referrals must purchase a tutoring package and mention your name upon contact.*
NEWSLETTER & BLOG
Newsletters will now be sent out on a quarterly basis coinciding with the start/end of a school quarter, in order to be more mindful of email inboxes and time. In the event of new information or specials between a quarter, a separate email will be sent in the interim and posted to the website. In place of a newsletter, a monthly blog will be posted on the website in order to keep parents and students updated on best study practices, exams, and other information in education and career planning.
